Dear Parent/Carer                                                    Newsletter 6. 2011/12

Staffroom news.

We are saying goodbye to Mrs Flanagan after Christmas. Mrs Flanagan has been with us since Easter. We are very grateful for her help and wish her all the best in the future.

In January we welcome Mrs Browning who will be teaching nursery. I know Mrs Browning will be adding a great deal, in her own way, to the life of our school community.

Bingo

Thank you so much for your contributions of toiletries and chocolate. You gave so much there were some lovely bingo prizes.

The bingo went really well and as usual, there was a great deal of friendly competitiveness to win.

The worlds a stage [but not on the internet]

Our school Christmas shows went really well and many of you commented on how you enjoyed the performance. Thank you.

Currently in school we allow family to take pictures and video for their own enjoyment and memories. Please do not post pictures on the internet for ‘anyone’ to view. Especially of other peoples children and families. This would be an abuse of the privilege we give you to take pictures. It would be a shame for the majority of our families to have a restriction imposed on them for the thoughtlessness of a few.

Keep in touch.

Winter is fast approaching and with the possibility of snow please ensure that school always has your current mobile number so that you will get any messages sent through the ‘Call Parents’ system.

Cost of a school dinner.

School dinners will be going up to £2 per day as from the 1st January 2012.

Free School Meals

Don’t forget to check out if you are able to claim free school meals. This will help both yourself and school.

School opens on Tuesday 10th January at 8.50am.

From everyone at All Saints’, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Thank you for your support so far this term. It’s a real privilege to work with such a supportive community.

I hope you have a lovely Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

The school runs a wide range of after school clubs throughout the year, some of the clubs involve parents working alongside their children.

Clubs include ICT, Art, Sports and singing.

We will post some pictures here as we get them but information regarding which clubs are currently running, and for which groups of children, will be sent to parents via our usual school news letter.
